Motorcycle Riding Jersey for Hot Weather: Light, Breathable and Made for Riding
Summer riding has one big problem: heat.
A heavy jacket turns hot days into a chore, and a plain cotton T-shirt soaks up sweat and flaps in the wind.
That's the gap a good motorcycle riding jersey is meant to fill.
The ROIA MOTO Jersey is built for exactly this: warm-weather riding, with fabric that breathes where it should and hard-wearing patches where daily wear happens.
What Is a Motorcycle Riding Jersey?
A riding jersey sits somewhere between a casual shirt and a riding jacket.
It's made from technical fabric, cut for the riding position, and designed to move with you on the bike.
Typical features:
- Breathable mesh for airflow
- Hard-wearing fabric at wear points like the elbows
- A riding cut that's longer in the body
- Light technical material that moves with you
It's made for everyday riding, travel days and hot trails, not for a cold morning in the mountains.

What's Inside the ROIA MOTO Jersey
The jersey combines three fabrics, each with a clear job.
1. Open-mesh torso
The torso is 150 gsm open-mesh polyester.
- Lets the wind straight through
- Light, breathable open-mesh construction
It's made for warm-weather riding, roughly 15 to 35 °C (59 to 95 °F).
2. 4-way stretch sleeves
The sleeves are made from a 4-way stretch woven eyelet fabric (90% polyamide, 10% elastane), finished with elastic cuffs for a snug fit.
3. PU-coated elbow patches
Two elbow patches made from PU-coated nylon (100% polyamide, 500D×500D weave, 256 gsm).
The elbows take a lot of everyday wear, so that's where the hard-wearing patches sit.
The result: a light jersey with freedom of movement when you reach for the bars or twist to check behind you.
An Honest Word on Safety
This part matters, so we'll say it clearly.
The ROIA MOTO Jersey is not personal protective equipment (PPE). It has not been tested or certified to EN 17092 or Regulation (EU) 2016/425, it contains no impact protectors, and it is not designed to protect against injury in a crash or fall.
That means:
- It's not a replacement for certified riding gear
- Always wear certified protective riding gear
Know what your gear does, and choose accordingly.
Who Is This Jersey For?
It makes sense if you:
- Ride in hot climates or through summer
- Want a lighter layer under your riding jacket
- Do adventure trips where temperatures swing during the day
- Like gear that packs small and stays light
If you already ride with a vented jacket, the jersey works as a breathable layer underneath.

Care and Everyday Use
Technical fabric lasts longer when it's treated properly:
✅ Machine wash at 30 °C ✅ No bleach ✅ No tumble dry ✅ Don't iron the print ✅ No dry cleaning
Easy care, and it's ready for the next ride.
Ride Light, Pack Smart
ROIA MOTO is built around one idea: stay prepared without carrying too much.
That applies to what you wear as much as what you pack.
A light jersey on the bike, a compact tool kit, a hand pump and a trail stand in the luggage: a simple setup that keeps you comfortable and independent.

Conclusion
A good riding jersey won't replace protective gear, and it doesn't pretend to.
What it does is make hot-weather riding more comfortable, with an open-mesh torso, 4-way stretch sleeves and hard-wearing elbow patches, in a light package.
Because the best rides are the ones you actually want to keep going on.
